A white set. Spotless. Circular. A playground. Here, a grey-haired lady stands, a dancer. The white space is hers. She moves soundless, slowly: because she has time, plenty of time.
En UN Éclat is an extraordinary dance duet between an elder dancer (aged 80) and a young breakdancer, who meet in a white world. The encounter of these two ages develops and comes to life. Slowly, because the dancer, the eldest, has plenty of time. Inconvenient, because the eager boy, the youngest, is impatient.
About the artist
Since 2001, French ensemble a k entrepôt produces performances for young children. Inspired by the way children can create something from nothing, they produce works in which dance and visual art are merged, and an empty space is transformed into something new.
